Twelve Months!

Dear Cooper,

Last Tuesday, you turned one year old.  Happy Birthday, sweet boy!

I can’t believe you have been in our lives for a whole year.  It has gone by way too fast.  You are walking like a champ and starting to eat all of my food. You’ll still eat your baby food, but whenever I’m trying to eat something, you want a bite, too.

This month was the beginning of the holiday months.  You don’t quite understand everything, yet, but it sure is fun to watch you explore different things.  We went to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls to pick out a Halloween pumpkin and pet the goats.

You went trick-or-treating for the first time, although we didn’t ask for candy, we just walked around the neighborhood and watched all the other kids.  You were so cute in your little engineer costume.  We even stopped by to visit Bella in her bug costume.

Your grandma was here for the week of Halloween and you had a lot of fun playing and reading books with her.

We had a special November Babies Birthday Celebration together with Bella, Phoenix and Noah since most of the parties were scheduled for the same day.  We grilled hamburgers with all the families and had cake and opened presents.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Becky came to visit for the weekend.  They couldn’t get over how you have grown and how good you are walking.

We celebrated your birthday the weekend before Thanksgiving.  We had a house full of people that came just to celebrate you.  We realized after the fact that we had four generations from both sides of the family here.  There was you, me, my mom and grandma (your great-grandma), and Daddy, his dad and grandpa (your great-grandpa).  I wish I had gotten a picture.

I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for us.  Hopefully some words!  You are such a special part of our lives and we love you very, very much!
