Thirty Months

I know this is a few weeks late. My apologies. I’ll try to do better next time. Already have lots to talk about so stay tuned!

Dear Cooper,

On May 20, you hit the thirty month mark. Wow, I cannot believe you are two and a half years old! My how time flies.

This month started with another trip to Arlington to see Mama and Papa Choo-Choo. While we were there, we got to visit with William and Martha. You guys had lots of fun running through the house. You would look at each other and say “Let’s run!” and then ran laughing and yelling into another room.

Your naps have started to get shorter, which is a little disconcerting since that is my work time and you won’t be in school all summer. I hope and pray you will allow me to get my work done and that I have hair by the end of the summer. You are starting to show a bit of a temper and your independence. You like to boss people around and you get upset when they don’t listen. I tried telling you to stop telling me what to do, but that backfired. You now tell me “don’t tell me what to do!” To which I reply that I’m the boss, not you. I’ve also tried to get you to be more patient, but that hasn’t quite set in, yet. You are definitely your father’s son.

We had our last MOPS meeting of the year. You got so excited because the Georgetown Fire Department brought one of their big new fire trucks to the meeting.

We also had an End of the Year Pool Party and you had a blast in the water. Once you got used to it, that is. At first, you just sat on the edge of the pool, reaching in for toys. After about an hour, you finally decided to get all the way in (it was only a foot deep). Swimming lessons are in your near future.

We were invited to Daddy’s friends Gui and Jen’s house for lunch and after wards we went to the park. You love to swing and want to go as high as the sky. You also had fun with Daddy on the playground.

I’m looking forward to a fun summer with you at the pool, parks and play dates!
